One of the many facts, about this current financial climate, is that home/apartments/studios are more expensive and can be short on living space and storage. Have you downsized to a place closer to work and run out of storage space quicker than before? Do you have no room for your summer clothes, sporting equipment or a family heirloom?
Self Storage Centers of America is located conveniently in Tampa FL on Causeway Blvd. It’s close to Brandon, Riverview and the Progress Village areas. Whether you’re pulling a boat on out after a long day out in the bay, need to clear up a little room around the house, or are looking for something a little more long-term, Tampa storage units are right around the corner!
The most precious things a person has is memories, in the forms of pictures, children’s artwork, or old tickets. Personal objects that don’t deserve the trash or to be ruined in the dusty corner of the attic. When looking for a place to store these precious items, you want to have a place that will treat them with care. It doesn’t matter, if you are storing an antique stamp collection or a boat what most customers are looking for, is a place that will store your item protecting it from damage while in storage. So what kind of storage do you need?
Choosing the type of storage required will depend on what you wish to store. Some items just need to be protected from harsh weather conditions like boats, cars, motorcycles or snowmobiles. Storing these items in a standard storage unit is no problem. While we don’t have much call for snowmobile storage around Tampa, we do get a lot of call for boat storage. These are normally not stored in the units – we have outdoor storage available for both boats and travel trailers. These items do not require protection from changes in temperature or humidity.
Temperature-controlled units keep the temperature of the unit between 55 and 80 degrees. These are ideal for items that would be damaged by extreme cold or heat. Wooden furniture or soft plastics are examples of items best suited for temperature-controlled storage.
Then there is climate-controlled storage. This type of storage is usually the most expensive than the other two options. Climate-controlled storage regulates not only the temperature but also the humidity of the unit. This type of storage perfect for items that are susceptible to molds such as books, artwork or fabric.
Something that you might also consider is the security of the storage units. Is there on-site security (people present 24/7), cameras, gates? When can you obtain access to your items – anytime or only during certain hours? Selecting the proper storage for your items is important so take the time to find the type of storage facility that will meet all your needs.
